Service Description
Learn how to take a deep, grounded breath. Increase your breath capacity and endurance. Optimize the mobility, strength, and tirelessness of your diaphragm. Reduce tension and anxiety. Class consists of breath work, meditation, anatomy-in-motion education, hands-on diaphragm-release, a little art-making, and some yoga poses. B.K.S. Iyengar said, "the diaphragm is the window of the self," and stressed the importance of a freely moving diaphragm for maintaining good health. One cannot exaggerate the importance of this unique muscle. Our life depends on the efficient functioning of this muscle and our quality of life depends largely on our skillful use of it. Dress for movement. Leave breathing easier, equipped with an embodied understanding of your personal power center and tools to maintain this ease for the rest of your life. Bring: water and a yoga mat (we have spare mats if you forget yours)
