Buddy Work (2 x 60 minutes)

Service Description

This option includes two, 60 minute sessions, to be enjoyed in the same visit. Great for couples, roomies, besties, and loved ones visiting from out of town. Sessions consist of hands on assisted stretching, massage and myofascial release to improve the balance and flow of energy throughout your body. These sessions are hands on, fully clothed. What's myofascial release? "Myo" = muscle, and "fascia" = connective tissue (think: cellophane wrapped around your muscles and functional movement lines). Our fascia gets gunked up -- restricting our "locked short" muscles and vitality -- when we repeat dysfunctional movement patterns; e.g., hunching over your computer and phone (hi :)), or limping to compensate for an injury. I use my hands + your breath to release stuck tension from your muscles and functional movement chains. This is a coactive process. During portions of our work, you won't have to do a thing besides breathe and bliss out. Sometimes, your participation is more active; you'll move your joint through its range of motion as I work alongside your exhales to deeply release pain and dysfunction. Note: In order to accommodate everyone, we may need to shift your requested appointment start time. I will let you know within 48 hours of your booking request if that becomes necessary :) Also, let me know if you're looking for body work on a particular day that you don't see available on my calendar. My posted working hours overestimate drive time, so I may be able to work with you on your ideal day even if it's not showing availability on booking calendar.
